Animated Text Generator

Write your text, choose an original motion preset and edit its keyframes, timing, system font and colors. Inspect any still frame or explicitly play the animation once. Export a real animated GIF, a video when the browser supports canvas recording, a selected still PNG or an editable JSON project.

Text and motion

Original motion presets. Selecting a preset resets its keyframes. System fonts and emoji glyphs depend on the browser and operating system.

Explicit preview

A complete still preview appears after valid text and settings.

Preview plays once only after you press the button. Reduced motion shows the final frame without animation. Scrubbing is always a still frame. Playback and video capture stop when this tab is hidden.

Editable keyframes and path

Time runs from 0 to 1 across the full duration. X and Y position the text anchor as canvas percentages. The first time must be 0 and the last 1; intermediate times increase strictly. Off-canvas positions, scale and rotation can crop text intentionally, so inspect both endpoints.

Enter your text and settings. The still preview never starts playback by itself.

GIF uses at most 256 colors per frame, with opaque backgrounds. Delays are distributed in 10 ms steps with at least 20 ms per frame, so its displayed duration can differ slightly from the request. Frame count is duration × FPS, rounded. The final sample always equals the final keyframe. Browser video is captured in real time and can vary in frame pacing; its actual supported format is shown above.

Local budgets: 400 grapheme clusters within 2,000 text characters, 2 to 240 frames, 1 million pixels per frame and 64 million rendered pixels. GIF workers stop after 60 seconds. Project JSON keeps exact Unicode text, colors and all keyframes.

Common questions

Which text effects are included?
Typewriter reveals complete Unicode grapheme clusters, including combined emoji and accented letters. Fade changes opacity, Slide moves the text into place, and Path follows editable position keyframes. Each preset is original to this tool. You can edit position, opacity, scale and rotation for every keyframe, with linear or smooth interpolation.
How are frame count and the final frame calculated?
Frame count is duration multiplied by FPS, rounded to the nearest whole frame. Two seconds at 20 FPS produces 40 frames. Frame zero samples the first keyframe; the last frame samples the exact final keyframe, so typewriter text is complete at the end. Timing must produce 2 to 240 frames.
Why can GIF timing or colors differ slightly?
GIF uses at most 256 colors per frame and stores delays in hundredths of a second. This tool distributes delays in 10 ms steps with a minimum hold of 20 ms. The requested and actual GIF durations are both shown. GIF backgrounds are opaque, and palette reduction can alter antialiased colors. Playback applications may apply their own delay handling.
Does the preview play automatically?
No. Editing shows a still frame, and the frame scrubber never starts playback. Preview animation plays once only after you press it. System reduced motion or Still preview only shows the final frame without motion. Playback and browser video recording stop when the tab becomes hidden.
Can I export MP4 or WebM video?
Video export is available only when the browser supports both canvas capture and an appropriate MediaRecorder format. The tool checks WebM and MP4 capability and displays the selected format before export. Unsupported browsers show an explicit unavailable state while GIF and PNG remain usable. Native video is captured in real time, so frame pacing can vary; GIF preserves the exact generated frame sequence.
Can I edit the path or use my own font?
Edit the keyframe table to change the text anchor's X and Y percentages, opacity, scale and rotation. First and final keyframe times are 0 and 1; intermediate times increase strictly. Insert up to 12 keyframes. Fonts are system sans serif, serif and monospace with a bold option. Font and emoji appearance depend on the browser and operating system. Custom font uploads are not included.
How do I keep all my text and settings?
Save project JSON for a lossless copy of Unicode text, colors, dimensions, timing and all keyframes. Imports validate the complete project before replacing the current animation. Valid touched work also saves locally in this browser. The tool processes locally and does not upload text or exported files.
What are the working limits?
Use up to 400 grapheme clusters within 2,000 text characters, 2 to 240 frames, 1 million pixels per frame and 64 million rendered pixels per animation. Duration is 0.20 to 10.00 seconds and frame rate is 1 to 50 FPS. A text block that does not fit at the chosen font size is rejected without truncation. Intentional off-canvas motion, scaling and rotation can crop text, so inspect the endpoints. GIF work has a 60-second bound, and encoded GIF or video output is bounded to 64 MB.
