Record hole 1
Par applies to every player on this hole. Leave strokes blank for unfinished. Positive allowance is subtracted from gross; negative allowance adds strokes to net. Values are recorded only when you apply them. Switching holes or players discards unrecorded edits.
Relative scores and allowances in subtotals cover recorded holes only. Conventional Stableford: max(0, 2 + par − net strokes) per recorded hole. Negative net scores are retained. This is the displayed convention, without modified-point variants.

Common questions
- How are gross and net golf scores calculated?
- Gross is the sum of recorded strokes. Net subtracts the signed allowances you entered for those holes. A positive allowance lowers net strokes, while a negative allowance increases them. Gross and net relative-to-par figures compare only recorded holes against their supplied pars.
- What happens when a hole is unfinished?
- Leave its strokes blank. The hole has no score or points and its par and allowance are excluded from partial totals. The round remains incomplete until every hole for that player has a positive stroke count. A blank never becomes a zero or an inferred score.
- Which Stableford rules are used?
- The displayed conventional rule is max(0, 2 + par minus net strokes) per recorded hole. Net par gives two points, one over gives one, and two or more over gives zero. Supplied allowances and even negative net scores are retained. No modified Stableford variants or official handicap allocation are inferred.
- Can I record nine holes, eighteen holes or multiple players?
- Choose nine or eighteen holes and one to eight players on an empty card. Pars begin at four as editable placeholders. Supply the correct course pars. Card dimensions lock once scores or nonzero allowances exist; clearing scores and allowances allows resizing again, and undo restores the previous card.
- Are saved rounds permanent?
- No. Up to twenty independent snapshots stay in this page session. Later edits do not change snapshots. Download a JSON backup before leaving to retain the current round and every snapshot. Restore previews a validated backup before replacing the workspace; that replacement is undoable.
- Can I print a blank or completed golf scorecard?
- Yes. Select the current or a saved round, then download PDF or printable HTML, or use Print / save PDF. Each player has a separate page. Downloaded PDFs contain raster scorecards to support Unicode names; the HTML print option supports selectable text. CSV and JSON exports include all rounds.
- Does this calculate an official handicap index?
- No. It calculates arithmetic from your supplied pars, strokes and per-hole allowances. It does not use a course database, course or slope ratings, handicap-index formulas, or tournament certification.
