How do I make my own trading card?

Pick a card in the list and type its title, tags line, stat values, rules text and quote in the Edit card fields, then choose a picture and drag it on the card, or use the scale and position sliders, to frame it. Name your stats under Card size, layout, sheet and back, where you also set the card size, one of three original templates, a typeface and the back. The page opens with nine example cards marked as examples; replace their words, or press Start an empty deck. Download the selected card as a PNG, or the whole deck as a sheet PDF or a print-shop PDF.

What size is a trading card, and what resolution should the image be?

The standard size is 2.5 x 3.5 in (63.5 x 88.9 mm). At 300 DPI that is 750 x 1050 px, and with 0.125 in of bleed on every side the PNG this tool makes is 825 x 1125 px. It also has bridge (2.25 x 3.5 in), mini (1.75 x 2.5 in) and tarot (2.75 x 4.75 in) sizes, or a custom size from 1.5 to 10 in a side in inches or millimeters. Once a card has a picture, its Artwork section shows how many picture pixels land on each printed inch.

How do I print trading cards double-sided so the backs line up?

Sheet .pdf puts each sheet of fronts on one page and its backs on the next, unless you choose Fronts only. Standard cards go 3 x 3 on US Letter at trim size, touching so one cut separates two cards, with margins of 0.5 in at the sides and 0.25 in at the top and bottom and crop marks in the margin. For a long-edge flip each row of backs is mirrored, so the first row reads 3 2 1 and card 3's back prints behind card 3; for a short-edge flip the rows are swapped instead. Print at 100% with the same flip set in your printer. A home printer's duplex alignment can still move the backs by a millimeter or two, which the tool cannot measure.

What are bleed and the safe margin?

Bleed is color and artwork carried past the cut line, 0.125 in a side by default, so a cut that lands slightly off leaves no white edge; it is in the PNG and the print-shop PDF. The safe margin keeps words 0.125 in inside the cut, and the card preview dims the bleed and draws both lines. On a standard card the rules box is 2.25 x 0.625 in and holds four lines of 9 pt text on 11.25 pt lines. Text that needs more lines, or a title too wide for one line, is outlined in red on the card, listed under the card's fields, and export asks you to fix it or press Export anyway: lines past the box, or the end of a title too wide for the card, are not printed, and the text is never made smaller.

Can I make a whole deck from a spreadsheet?

Yes. Import CSV reads a file whose first row names the columns: title, tags, rules, quote, back, art and color, and any other column becomes a stat labeled with its header, up to four. Each row after that is one card, up to 200. When the art column names a picture file, Add pictures by name puts each picture you choose on every card that names it. CSV template downloads a two-card example with every column.

Can I use logos or card frames from real card games?

The three templates are original and generic: no named game's frames, logos, symbols, set marks or card text are included, and nothing here claims to be official or compatible with any game. Whatever pictures you add are your own choice; the tool does not look at what a picture shows. It is made for original fan cards, homemade games and classroom projects.

Are my pictures uploaded anywhere?

No. Each picture is read in this browser tab: its declared size is checked first, then it is saved again at up to 2400 px on its longest side, which also drops camera metadata. The browser remembers your deck's words and settings between visits, but never the pictures. They leave the tab only inside a PNG, a PDF or a project file you download.

Can I save my cards and edit them later?

Project .json saves every card, the stat labels, the layout, the back, each picture and each picture's position in one file. Open project loads it here again as you left it, including the artwork positions. Without a project file, the deck's words and settings come back on your next visit, and Add pictures by name puts the pictures back on the cards they came from.

Can I make custom Pokémon fan cards?

The Pokémon fan-card page opens a blank creature card with HP, Weakness, Resistance and Retreat fields. Add your own character name and artwork, write type and stage in Tags line, and put attack names, energy costs and damage in Rules text. Export the result as a PNG or printable PDF. It uses an original layout with no official artwork, card database, game frames or energy symbols, and does not promise compatibility with the Pokémon Trading Card Game.

Can I make baseball, sports, character or superhero cards?

Yes. Add your own portrait or character artwork, use the title for the name and Tags line for a team, position or character type. Rename up to four stats for the subject, and put a biography or ability text in Rules text. The same artwork, card-back and printable-sheet controls work for these custom cards.

Does this make a complete playable trading card game?

It designs cards for a homemade physical game: choose stat labels and write the rules that print on each card. It does not create a digital game, enforce mechanics, simulate matches or balance a deck. The exported files are card designs, not a playable game program.
