Set up the table

Small straight: Exactly 1, 2, 3, 4, 5; score 15. An unqualified roll scores zero. Zero is an explicit scratch; an unfilled cell has no score.

- Ones: Sum all dice showing 1.
- Twos: Sum all dice showing 2.
- Threes: Sum all dice showing 3.
- Fours: Sum all dice showing 4.
- Fives: Sum all dice showing 5.
- Sixes: Sum all dice showing 6.
- One pair: Highest pair; score two matching dice.
- Two pairs: Two different pairs; score those four dice. Four equal dice do not make two pairs.
- Three of a kind: At least three equal dice; score exactly three of that face.
- Four of a kind: At least four equal dice; score exactly four of that face.
- Small straight: Exactly 1, 2, 3, 4, 5; score 15.
- Large straight: Exactly 2, 3, 4, 5, 6; score 20.
- Full house: Exactly three of one face and two of a different face; sum all five. Five equal dice do not qualify.
- Chance: Sum all five dice.
- Yatzy: All five dice equal; score 50. No repeat-Yatzy bonus or joker rule.
Manual scores must be possible under these rules, or zero as a scratch. Full house uses two distinct faces; repeated Yatzys have no bonus or joker treatment. These rules differ from some Yahtzee and house-rule variants.

Common questions
- Which Yatzy scoring convention does this use?
- Ones through sixes sum matching dice. An upper subtotal of at least 63 earns a 50-point bonus. Small straight is exactly 1–5 for 15 points; large straight is exactly 2–6 for 20. Five equal dice score 50 for Yatzy. There are no repeat-Yatzy bonuses or joker rules.
- How are pairs, kinds and full house scored?
- One pair scores the highest matching pair. Two pairs require different faces and score those four dice. Three/four of a kind score exactly three/four matching dice, even if more match. Full house requires exactly a triple and a pair of different faces and scores their sum. Five equal dice do not qualify as full house or two pairs. Chance sums all five dice.
- Can I type scores instead of entering dice?
- Yes. Choose manual entry and enter a possible category score, including zero as a scratch. Values are checked against the disclosed rules. Nothing is recorded automatically: choose the receiving player and category, then click Record category score.
- How do I correct or clear a score?
- Select the recorded category and enable explicit correction. Replace the score or clear it back to unfilled. A recorded zero counts as a filled category; clearing does not. Every correction records the prior and new values, player name and source. Undo/redo retain the latest 50 sheet changes.
- How many players and entries are supported?
- Choose one to eight players before recording scores. Player count can change only on an empty sheet and clears history and undo. Names may change later, while historical entries keep the names used at the time. The record holds up to 1,000 entries. Reset scores is undoable.
- Can I print a blank or completed score sheet?
- Yes. Print score sheet or download printable HTML for an empty or filled scorecard. Five or more players use landscape layout. Exports include category rules and full entry history. CSV and TXT also include current scores and totals, preserving the distinction between zero and unfilled.
- Are scores saved automatically?
- No. Scores stay in page memory, with no login or automatic device storage. Export before leaving or reloading. The tool is a recreational score sheet and does not claim official tournament status.
