How many people fit a 60 inch round table?

Every new table here starts at 8 seats. That is an editable starting value, not a measured limit for a physical table. Use the seat count your venue gives you; the board counts against your figure.

Does the tool decide who sits where?

No. Nothing moves a guest except you: a drag onto a table, or the table drop-down on that guest's row. There is no auto-arrange, no compatibility rules and no shuffle anywhere in it. When a table ends up with more people than seats, the page says which table and by how many, and leaves everyone exactly where you put them.

Can I build the chart without dragging?

Yes. Every guest row carries a table drop-down listing each table plus Unassigned, so the whole chart can be built from the keyboard. Dragging and the drop-down do the same thing, and either way a guest sits at one table: moving them takes them off the old one in the same step.

How do I print it for the venue?

The Print chart button prints the chart section only: each table with its name, shape, seat count and the people at it, then the guests who still have no table. The controls, the board and the rest of the page stay off the paper, and a long chart breaks across pages at the table boundaries.

Is the guest list uploaded anywhere?

No. The page runs in your browser and never sends the names anywhere. The board is remembered in this browser's own storage so the next session opens where you left it, and Export plan writes a JSON file to your device. Import plan reads that file back, with every table, every guest and every placement preserved.

What happens if two guests have the same name?

They stay two separate people. Each line of the guest list becomes its own entry with an id of its own, so seating one Alex Kim at table 3 leaves the other where they were. Blank lines are dropped, and a comma inside a name is kept, since the separator is the line break rather than the comma.

Can teachers make a classroom seating chart?

Yes. Paste the student list and name the tables for your classroom groups. For individual desks, use a rectangular table with 1 seat and a name such as Row 1, Desk 1. Assign students with their drop-downs, then use Print chart for a paper copy. The chart lists named desks or groups; it does not draw their positions in the room.
