Math Worksheet Maker
Choose multiplication, addition, subtraction, division or a mix, type the numbers the problems may use (a range such as 6 to 9, single numbers such as 3, 7, or the table buttons), and set up to 100 problems, up to 6 across, horizontal or stacked vertically, on US Letter or A4 in portrait or landscape. Carrying, borrowing and remainders can each be set to Never, Any or Always, and every problem is drawn from the pairs of numbers in your ranges that meet those rules, so a rule holds for every problem rather than most of them; settings no problem can meet are refused with what to change. The answer key is worked out again from each problem, the same settings and seed make the identical sheet again later, and the PDF gives the sheet followed by its key, while your settings stay in this browser or go to a file you can open here again.

Common questions
- How do I make a multiplication facts worksheet?
- The page opens on multiplication facts, 6 to 9 times 0 to 12, until you change it. Press the table buttons under First factor to pick the facts, for example only 3 and 7, or type them, then set the number of problems and how many go across. PDF, sheet and key saves the sheet pages followed by the answer key pages; PDF, sheet only leaves the key out, for the copies you hand out. Print opens your browser's print dialog with the same pages.
- Can I make worksheets without regrouping, or with regrouping in every problem?
- Yes. Carrying (for addition) and Borrowing (for subtraction) each have Any, Never and Always. Never means no column carries or borrows, so 74 − 31 can appear but 72 − 38 cannot; Always means every problem needs at least one. Problems are drawn only from the pairs of numbers in your ranges that meet the rule, so it holds for every problem on the sheet. If no pair can meet it, for example borrowing Always with one-digit numbers, the page says so and what to change.
- How is the answer key made?
- The key is not stored with the problems: each answer is worked out again from its own problem when the sheet is made. The key pages repeat the sheet's layout with each answer written in the place the student writes it, so a key page matches its sheet page problem for problem. Division with remainders gives answers such as 7 R 3, and when negative answers are allowed they print with a minus sign.
- Will the same worksheet come out again later?
- Yes, with the same settings and the same seed, a whole number from 1 to 999,999. The seed decides every problem and its order, so it makes the identical sheet and key again, and New seed deals new problems from the same settings. Paper, orientation, size, layout, across and title only move problems on the page; they never change which problems they are. Save settings downloads your settings as a small file to open here later, and this browser also remembers your last settings.
- How many problems fit on one page?
- A sheet has up to 100 problems, and how many fit on a page depends on the size, the layout and the paper. With the settings the page opens with, 20 facts fit on one US Letter page, with the key on a second, and 100 take two sheet pages and two key pages. Vertical problems need more room, and long division and multiplication by a two-digit number get extra room to work in. When the numbers are too wide for the columns you chose, the page says how many across fit.
- Does it say which grade a worksheet is for?
- No. It makes practice sheets and answer keys only. The presets under Start from, such as Addition within 20 or Two-digit subtraction, no borrowing, name the numbers and rules they set, not a grade, and nothing on a sheet scores a student or places one in a level.
Every problem comes from the operation, number ranges and seed you choose, and every answer on the key is worked out again from its own problem, so the key matches the sheet. The same settings and seed give the same sheet every time, and with Carrying or Borrowing set to Never, no addition carries and no subtraction borrows. It makes practice sheets and answer keys only: it does not place a student in a grade or judge anyone's ability.
