Random Sentence Generator
Pick a tense, a tone and how many sentences you want, and the page writes them on the first screen. The sentences are assembled from subject, verb and object banks written for this tool, with each subject's number and each verb's four forms recorded beside the word, so a singular subject and a plural one take the verb form English gives them in all five tenses. The seed under the block decides the batch: write it down and the same sentences come back in the same order. Up to 50 at a time, with no account and nothing to install.
Writing sentencestense past · tone neutral · seed none yet
Generate picks a fresh seed and writes again. Type a seed of your own, or the one under the block, and the same tense, tone and seed bring the same sentences back in the same order on any machine. Copy puts one sentence per line on the clipboard; Download saves them as plain text, numbered or bare, with the settings at the top.
Common questions
- Are the sentences grammatically correct?
- Yes. Every sentence comes from a template written for this page, and the agreement is recorded beside each word rather than guessed from spelling: each subject carries its number, and each verb carries its base, third person singular, past and -ing forms. A singular subject takes finds and a plural subject takes find, and the irregular verbs stay irregular, so the past of find is found and the past of steal is stole.
- Can I get the same sentences again?
- The seed shown under the block decides the whole batch. Put the same tense, tone and seed back in, on this machine or any other, and the same sentences return in the same order. Generate picks a fresh four-digit seed when you want a different batch, and you can type a seed of your own instead.
- How many sentences can I make at once?
- One to 50 in a batch. The count is a window over one batch rather than a new draw: ask for five and you get the first five of the fifty that seed would write, so raising the count adds to the list instead of reshuffling it. Ask for more than 50 and the tool says so instead of quietly handing back 50.
- What do the tense and tone settings change?
- Five tenses: past, present, future, present continuous and past continuous, each built from the verb forms recorded in the word bank. Four tones: neutral, descriptive, playful and formal. A tone is a vocabulary rather than a label, and no subject, verb, object or phrase sits in two tones, so one seed in two tones never repeats a sentence.
- Do the sentences always make sense?
- They are always grammatical, and they are not always sensible. The subject, the verb and the object are drawn separately, so a batch can pair a mechanic with a garden fence. That is what practice material for grammar, handwriting or typing looks like, and no sentence here carries a name, a place or a figure, so nothing on the page reads as a claim about the world.
- Can I copy or save the sentences?
- Copy puts one sentence per line on the clipboard, and each sentence in the list below has a Copy button of its own. Download saves a plain-text file, either numbered with the tense, tone and seed at the top or the bare lines. Everything runs in your browser: there is no account, and nothing you type is sent anywhere.
Sentences are assembled from templates written for this page with the subject and verb agreement recorded alongside each word, so every sentence is grammatical. They are practice material and make no claim to be true.
