How does rally scoring work in volleyball?

Every rally scores a point for the team that wins it, whichever team served, and that team serves the next rally. The board works the same way: press +1 for the rally winner and the serve marker moves to them. Sets are played to 25 points and the deciding set to 15, and a set is only won with a two-point lead.

What happens at 24-24 in volleyball?

Play continues until one team leads by two. There is no cap, so 25-24 plays on, 26-24 wins the set, and a set can run to 31-29 or beyond. The deciding set works the same way from 14-14: 15-14 plays on and 16-14 wins it.

Yes. The Beach format plays best of 3, sets to 21 and a deciding set to 15, each won by two. The board does not prompt the side switches beach teams make during a set; press Swap sides whenever the teams change ends to change which team is shown on the left. Scores and serve stay as they are.

Who serves first in each set?

You choose the first server of set 1 in match setup. When a set ends, the board asks who serves first in the next set and suggests the team that did not serve first in the set just played; before a deciding set that follows a new coin toss, pick the toss result instead. The sets table records each set's first server.

How do I fix a scoring mistake?

Undo reverses the last step and can keep going back to the first rally of the match; Redo puts undone steps back until you record something new. Undoing a set-winning point returns the score, the set count and the serve to what they were before it. Correct opens manual corrections: add or take away a point without moving the serve, give the serve to the other team, or change a finished set's final score as long as the same team still wins it. Every correction is written to the match log and can itself be undone.

Can I show the scoreboard on a TV or projector?

Yes. Full screen fills the display with the board: team names, points in large type, sets won and the serve marker. While the board has focus, 1 or the Left arrow scores for the team on the left, 2 or the Right arrow for the team on the right, U undoes and R redoes. If the browser refuses full screen, the board fills the window instead.

Is the match saved, and can I export it?

The match and its undo steps are kept in this browser and come back when you reload, until you start a new match; if the browser blocks storage, the match lasts as long as the tab.
