The currency label names your units; it does not convert values. Use one consistent unit for all denominations. Blank counts mean zero. Default rows are editable examples, not a list of current legal tender.
Denominations and counts
Each row contributes independently, even when two denominations match. Values may have up to 18 whole digits and six decimal places; counts may have up to 18 digits. Extra precision is rejected, never rounded. Use a period as the decimal separator, without currency symbols or thousands separators.

CSV includes every row, exact numeric values, the total, expected amount and signed difference (counted minus expected). Formula-like text labels are prefixed with an apostrophe. Import numeric columns as text to preserve all digits in spreadsheets; TXT preserves the displayed values.
Worksheet controls and arithmetic
Each subtotal is denomination × count. The counted total is the sum of all subtotals. The difference is counted total minus your expected total; a negative value means below expected. Denominations are stored as integer millionths, multiplied by whole counts and added with exact integer arithmetic. Displayed amounts have at least two decimal places and retain any additional nonzero digits.
Undo/redo retains 50 edits, including row removal and resets. The worksheet is not automatically saved and is lost on reload.

Common questions
- How is the money total calculated?
- Each denomination is multiplied by its whole item count, and those subtotals are added. For example, three 20-unit notes and four 0.25-unit coins total 61.00 units across seven items. Blank counts mean zero. Every row contributes separately, including duplicate denominations.
- Can I change the currency or denominations?
- Yes. The currency field is a label only, and all denomination values and row labels are editable. Add or remove rows to match the items you are counting. Default rows are examples, not a verified list of current legal tender. Changing the label never applies an exchange rate.
- Are decimals rounded?
- No. Denominations and expected amounts may contain up to 18 whole digits and six decimal places. Values are converted to integer millionths and multiplied and summed using exact integer arithmetic. Additional precision is rejected rather than rounded. Displayed amounts have at least two decimal places and retain extra nonzero digits.
- What does the difference mean?
- Difference is counted total minus the expected amount you entered. Positive means above expected, negative means below expected, and zero is a match. Leave expected total blank to skip comparison. An invalid expected amount leaves the counted total visible but blocks comparison and exports until corrected.
- Which entries are invalid?
- Denominations must be positive; counts must be nonnegative whole numbers with at most 18 digits. Negative or fractional counts, currency symbols, exponent notation and thousands separators are rejected. Use a period as the decimal separator. Any invalid row prevents the overall total and exports, while valid row subtotals remain visible.
- What do downloads and printing include?
- CSV, TXT and the print worksheet include all rows, denomination values, counts, subtotals, total and optional expected amount and difference. CSV prefixes formula-like text labels with an apostrophe. Import its numeric columns as text when full precision matters, since spreadsheet applications may round long numbers. TXT preserves the displayed values.
- Can I undo changes, and is the session saved?
- Undo and redo retain the latest 50 edits, including removed rows, cleared counts and resets. The worksheet stays in browser memory and is not automatically saved or uploaded. Reloading loses it; download or print before leaving. Up to 100 denomination rows are supported.
