Monday and Tuesday are easy, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday medium, Friday and Saturday hard. Harder days bring more pegs and colors, longer ladders, fewer sudoku clues and bigger nonograms.

Is every puzzle fair?

Each sudoku has exactly one solution. Each nonogram has one solution and can be finished a row or column at a time, with no guessing. Each ladder starts and ends on everyday words, and its par is the shortest ladder in the whole word list, with an everyday-word ladder of that length to find.

Do I need an account?

No. Your progress, your streak and the last year of results are kept in this browser only and never sent anywhere. Clearing site data, or using another device, starts afresh.

Can I play an earlier day?

A row of colored pegs is hidden. Guess it: after each guess, filled dots count pegs of the right color in the right place and rings count right colors in the wrong place. You have ten guesses.

Turn the top word into the bottom one by changing one letter at a time, and every rung must be a real word. Par is the shortest ladder that exists.
