There are 15 scenes across five genres, 225 authored lines in total, and every sentence you see is one of those lines with its blanks filled from that scene's own word bank and from a list of 24 names. No text is fetched from anywhere, and no language model is involved: the page does the same assembly in your browser every time, which is why one seed always gives one paragraph.

Can I get the same paragraph again?

Yes. The seed shown above the box decides the whole thing. Put the same genre, length and seed back in, on this machine or any other, and the same paragraph comes back word for word. Generate picks a fresh four digit seed when you want a different one, and you can type a seed of your own instead. The seed is read as text, so 0012 and 12 are two different seeds, while spaces around it and the letter case are ignored.

Why is the word count not exactly the number I asked for?

Because sentences are whole. The length you type is opened by a sixth either way, never less than five words, to make a target band: ask for 60 and the page aims at 50 to 70. Sentences are added until the paragraph is close to the number you asked for and none of them would push it past the top of the band. The count printed under the box is the count of the finished paragraph, not the number you asked for, so the two can differ by a few words.

What happens if I ask for a very short paragraph?

You get the nearest paragraph the scene can write, with a line saying how long that is and what the target was. A paragraph here is never fewer than three sentences, so no scene goes much under 30 words. Below about 40 words the page says so rather than cutting a sentence in half, and the length field still accepts anything from 10 to 150 words.

How is this different from a lorem ipsum generator?

Lorem ipsum is scrambled Latin, which is the right tool when you want people to look at the layout and not read the words. This page writes English that holds together: one scene, one subject, consistent pronouns and a real word count you can set.
