Scores shown above are confirmed subtotals. Players with unresolved bonuses or fewer completed frames cannot be ranked fairly yet.
Selectable text record
Exports include all players and pending states. CSV prefixes formula-like text with an apostrophe; import its notation columns as text.
Scoring rules and game controls
Open frame: add its two pinfalls. Spare: 10 plus the next one roll. Strike: 10 plus the next two rolls. Bonus deliveries still score in their own frames.
Tenth frame: an open frame has two rolls. A spare earns one fill ball on a fresh rack; a strike earns two. After a strike, another strike resets the rack. Otherwise the last fill ball uses the pins remaining from the preceding fill ball.
Fouls: consume one delivery and score zero. The scorer records credited pinfall, not physical lane events. Resolve respotting and other lane rulings before entering the next result.
Corrections: strike changes can shift every following frame boundary. Review the scorecard after editing. Undo/redo keeps the latest 100 edits, including names, removed players and cleared games.

Common questions
- How do I record rolls for multiple players?
- Add up to eight players, select whose roll you are recording, and tap the credited pinfall or Foul. Player selection is manual, so you can enter a whole game or switch after each frame. Buttons above the number of available pins are disabled. Names and scores stay in browser memory.
- How are strikes and spares scored?
- A strike scores 10 plus the next two rolls, and a spare scores 10 plus the next one roll. Bonus rolls also count in their own frames. For example, a strike followed by 3 and 4 resolves the first frame to 17, and the second frame brings the cumulative score to 24.
- Why is my score marked pending?
- A frame cannot have a final score until all its required deliveries and bonus rolls are known. Pending is not zero. The main score is a confirmed subtotal of resolved frames, and the scorecard shows how many bonus rolls each completed frame still needs. Compare final totals after all players finish.
- How does the tenth frame work?
- An open tenth frame ends after two rolls. A spare earns one fill ball on a fresh rack. A strike earns two fill balls: if the next ball is also a strike, the final ball gets a fresh rack; otherwise the final ball uses the pins left by that second ball. A perfect game requires twelve strikes and scores 300.
- What does a foul do?
- Foul records a delivery with zero credited pins and displays F. It consumes a ball. The tool does not decide whether a foul occurred, respot pins or adjudicate lane events. Enter the credited pinfall after resolving any lane ruling. For example, F then 10 is displayed F /.
- Can I correct an earlier roll?
- Yes. Tap a recorded roll in the scorecard or use the Recorded roll selector. Apply and keep later rolls replays the delivery sequence and may shift frame boundaries if a strike changes. Conflicting later rolls are rejected without changing the game. Apply and clear later rolls keeps the correction and removes the selected player’s later rolls. Both operations can be undone.
- Are scores saved, and what do exports include?
- Scores are not uploaded or automatically saved; reloading loses the current scorecard. Print, CSV and TXT include all players and pending states. CSV prefixes formula-like text with an apostrophe. Undo and redo retain the latest 100 edits during the session, including name changes, removed players and cleared games.
- Does this support other bowling formats?
- This calculator uses standard ten-pin scoring. It does not implement nine-pin no-tap, duckpin, candlepin, handicap allowances or tournament standings. Split notation and lane-event adjudication are outside the scope.
