How do mirror modes work with teleprompter glass?

Off reads normally on the screen. Horizontal flips left and right for a typical beam-splitter setup. Vertical flips top and bottom for a setup that needs that reversal. Choose the flip that makes your own reflected display readable; different rigs orient their screens differently. Under a vertical flip the guide is drawn at 55% of the screen height so it appears at 45% in a top-to-bottom reflection. No physical rig compatibility is certified.

What keyboard or presenter-clicker controls can I use?

Space pauses and resumes while the script area has focus. Page Up and Page Down also toggle pause, for clickers configured to send those keys. Up and down change speed by 0.5, or a quarter of a rendered line per second; left and right move one line. The mouse wheel scrubs the script. No. Speed 1 means 0.5 rendered lines per second and speed 3 means 1.5. Pixel movement is calculated from the rendered line height. The average words per line change with line wrapping, screen width, text size and blank lines, so the corner estimates words per minute from your current script layout. Resizing preserves approximate relative progress, not a guaranteed word or sentence. Background tabs do not advance the script in this implementation.

How long will my script take to read?

Setup gives a planning estimate at 150 words per minute. The running clock estimates scrolling time at the selected pace, including blank lines; neither clock measures your actual speech. Tokens containing a letter or digit count as words, so punctuation-only beats do not count. Languages written without spaces can have a low word count. Practice aloud and adjust the scrolling speed.

What happens if full screen is unavailable or refused?

The prompter fills the browser tab instead and says so. It keeps the same controls. A current fullscreen failure cannot change a later prompting attempt. If the browser refuses to leave native full screen, the prompter remains visible and tells you to use the browser’s Escape key or fullscreen control.

Does the teleprompter save or upload my script?

This page does not upload the script or send it to a speech service. Edited scripts, explicitly loaded examples and deliberately changed settings are saved in this browser when storage is available; loading defaults or restored work does not write them back. Shared devices may retain your script. Clearing the box is saved as an empty draft. Storage can be blocked or full, so keep a separate copy of important scripts. No script size cap is imposed; device memory is the practical limit.

Can it follow my voice, record a video or work inside Zoom, TikTok or PowerPoint?

No. Scrolling follows the speed you set. There is no microphone recognition, camera recorder, video export, presentation integration or floating window over another application.
