Braille Alphabet Chart: Letters, Numbers and Dots
Open the visual dot chart for 26 English letters, ten digits, eight punctuation marks and three indicators. Dots 1-2-3 run down the left and 4-5-6 down the right. Digits include the number sign before their shared a-j cells. Download the complete 47-row chart as PDF, SVG or CSV. These are ink references for this limited subset, not tactile output, flashcards or a complete UEB guide.

Common questions
- Why do digits use the same dots as letters?
- Digits 1-9 and 0 share patterns with a-j. The number indicator, dots 3-4-5-6, makes the following cells a digit run. Without that indicator the same cells read as letters.
- How are capitals written here?
- A single-letter capital indicator uses dot 6 followed by the letter cell. The translator writes one before each capital and does not implement UEB capital-word/passage sequences.
- What do all six dots mean?
- The full six-dot pattern is Unicode U+283F, ⠿. Its meaning depends on the Braille code and context. It is not one of this translator's supported uncontracted signs; the decoder reports it as unknown.
- Can I print or export the chart?
- Yes. PDF and SVG draw the dots as vectors, and CSV lists the character, Unicode cells and dot numbers. The chart prints in ink and cannot be read by touch.
Limited six-dot English uncontracted subset: letters, digits, eight punctuation marks and single-letter capital, number and letter indicators. This is not complete UEB transcription. Capital-word/passage sequences, Grade 2, eight-dot Braille, image input, maths/music and other alphabets are unsupported. Unsupported source characters are listed and omitted from cell output.
