Start a children’s or family charades round with Easy prompts from the original deck. Everyday actions, animals and objects give players concrete ideas to act out, such as Brushing your teeth, Elephant and Umbrella.

Press Deal for the first card.
Press Space for the next card without reaching for the mouse. The timer is whatever you type in seconds, up to 600, and 0 turns it off; it starts when you press it and never on its own, and it restarts on each new card while it is running. Pass puts the card back in the deck, so it can come round again later in the round.
Common questions
- What prompts work for younger players?
- Actions, Animals and Objects contain things children can see or do. A host can use Pass for an unfamiliar idea. These are hand-chosen difficulty labels, so the page does not assign an age level to each prompt.
- How do we play charades with these cards?
- One player looks at the card privately and acts it out without speaking while the others guess. Use Next card after a guess, or Pass to skip it. Decide how you want to count points as a group; this page does not keep scores.
- Can I switch to drawing or use a timer?
- Drawing changes the deck to prompts that can be sketched without letters. Enter seconds and press the clock for a timed round, or enter 0 to leave it off.
- Can I print the prompts for a classroom?
- Reveal the prompts you want and use Copy round. Paste the numbered list into a document, print it and cut it into slips. Settings changed here are saved separately from the main charades page.
The original and Christmas prompt decks were written for this tool; Movie titles uses real film titles. All prompts are tagged by hand for acting, drawing and difficulty. Difficulty is a judgement rather than a measurement and depends on your group’s references.
