Right Click CPS Test

This preset selects Right button and a five-second run. Place the pointer over the dark target and press the right mouse button to start. Only right-button mouse events count; left clicks, taps, stylus buttons and keyboard presses are excluded. The target suppresses its context menu so repeated right presses stay on the test. Choose another duration before starting if you want a shorter burst or longer run.

Left-button presses, taps, Space and Enter count. Changing the mode or duration resets the run. Held-key repeats never count. Press R to reset outside text fields. Switching tabs cancels an unfinished run.

The labels slow, average, fast, very fast are this page’s informal bands, not measured population averages or certified records. Compare the same input mode and duration.

Accuracy. The first accepted press starts the clock. Only presses in the chosen input mode and before the time limit count. Held-key repeats are ignored. Browser event timing, device behavior and automation can affect results; this is not a certified human-speed or hardware-latency test.

Common questions

How do I run a right-button speed test?
Confirm that Right button is selected, then press the right mouse button on the target. The first accepted press starts the clock. For example, 20 accepted presses in five seconds give 4 CPS. A press at the five-second deadline does not count. The target holds the finished result briefly to absorb extra presses.
Why do left clicks, taps or the space bar show zero?
This page isolates right-button mouse presses. Clicking the target with the left button can focus it but cannot start or add to the run. A touch long-press menu is not treated as a right mouse-button event. Choose the mixed mode on the controls for ordinary taps, or use the parent CPS Test to explore keyboard modes.
Can I try a one-second right-click test?
Choose 1 s before pressing the right button. The same selected-button filter applies. Use Custom seconds and Apply duration for another whole duration from 1 through 3600. Best results are stored separately for each duration and input mode, so a short burst is not compared with a five-second run.
Does this diagnose a mouse switch or certify a record?
No. The page counts delivered browser events, including events produced by automation or repeated switch activation. It does not measure polling rate or electrical latency and cannot prove a human record. Compare the same mode, duration and device when practicing.
Will a shared challenge keep right-button mode?
Yes. A completed result includes the right-button mode, duration and self-reported score in its link. The recipient opens the same settings even when their browser previously saved another mode. Reset clears a run; changing mode or duration exits an incoming challenge.
