USD to CZK Converter
This page opens on US dollars to Czech koruna and converts at the European Central Bank reference rates for the date printed beside the answer. The ECB publishes both currencies against the euro, so the dollar to koruna rate is our own calculation from those two published figures, and the panel shows all three.
Loading the published reference rates.
The rates in the panel are the euro reference rates the European Central Bank published on the date shown. The server that answered this page keeps its own copy of that file, asked for at most once every twelve hours and handed unchanged to everyone that server answers, and the amount you type is converted in your own browser: it is never sent anywhere. The date beside the answer is the one you are actually looking at. The ECB publishes on working days only, so a Saturday or a public holiday shows the previous working day's set rather than a new one.
Dated, and published once a day. Arithmetic at the European Central Bank reference rate for the date shown beside every answer, cross-converted through the euro. Reference rates are published once each working day for statistical use: they are not the rate a bank or a card will give you. Rates from the dated sample that ships with this page for 2026-09-07. Amounts between two currencies that are not the euro are our own calculation from two published euro rates. Source: European Central Bank euro foreign exchange reference rates.
Common questions
- How many Czech koruna is 100 US dollars?
- It is 100 multiplied by the koruna-per-euro rate and divided by the dollars-per-euro rate, from the set dated beside the answer. In the dated set that ships with this page, the ECB publication of 2026-09-07, one euro was 24.197 CZK and 1.1622 USD, which gives 1 USD = 20.82 CZK, so 100 USD came to 2,082.00 CZK and 1,000 USD came to 20,820.00 CZK. Once the rates load, the table under the converter lists 1, 10, 100, 500, 1,000, 5,000, 10,000, 50,000 and 100,000 dollars at whichever set the page holds, and lists nothing when the set is more than seven days old.
- Is this today's USD to CZK exchange rate?
- It is the most recent ECB reference set this site has fetched. The ECB publishes one set of euro reference rates on each working day, in the afternoon, Central European Time, and the server that answers this page asks for that file at most once every twelve hours. Before the day's publication, at a weekend or on a public holiday, the page shows the previous working day's set. It can also show the previous set for up to about a day after a new publication, because this site's copy is refreshed at most every twelve hours and a shared cache may hold the answer for twelve more. The date beside the answer is always the set you are looking at. It is not a market quote that moves during the day.
- Why is USD to CZK a calculated rate?
- Because the ECB publishes euro reference rates, and neither the dollar nor the koruna is the euro. The file carries koruna per euro and dollars per euro, and the rate between them is our division of the first by the second. The readout says USD to CZK is calculated from those two published euro rates, so it is never passed off as a figure the ECB printed.
- Is this the rate my bank or card will charge for koruna?
- No. A reference rate is a daily observation published for statistical use, with no fee, no spread and no card scheme markup in it. A bank, a card issuer or an exchange office sets its own price for koruna, so the amount it hands over or charges is a different number from the one on this page.
- Does the Czech National Bank publish a different rate?
- The Czech National Bank publishes its own daily koruna exchange rates, and they can differ slightly from the ECB reference rates. This page uses only the ECB set and prints that set's date, so you always know which publication a figure came from.
- Can I convert koruna back to dollars?
- Yes. The second table under the converter lists koruna to dollars for round amounts, and the Swap button in the row under the panel, beside Copy, reverses the pair without a reload and keeps the amount you typed. In the 2026-09-07 sample that direction read 1 CZK = 0.0480307 USD. The main currency converter opens on CZK to USD unless you picked another pair there before.
