Holidays come from rules, not a list of dates. Christmas, Halloween and New Year are fixed; Thanksgiving is the fourth Thursday of November, Mother’s Day the second Sunday of May, Memorial Day the last Monday of May; Easter is the Western date from the Gregorian formula; Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving. The moveable ones follow the US calendar. For a span between any two dates use the date calculator; for hours and minutes between two moments, the duration calculator.

Common questions

When is Easter?
Western Easter Sunday falls between 22 March and 25 April. It is 5 April in 2026, 28 March in 2027, 16 April in 2028 and 1 April in 2029. The page always counts to the next one.
How is the date of Easter computed?
With the anonymous Gregorian algorithm, the standard arithmetic published in 1876 that reproduces the Church's tables: it works out the date of the ecclesiastical full moon from the year's position in the 19-year lunar cycle, with the Gregorian century corrections, and takes the following Sunday. The same formula gives 31 March 2024, 20 April 2025 and 5 April 2026, and it is tested against those dates.
Is this Orthodox Easter too?
No. This page computes the Western date used by Catholic and Protestant churches. Orthodox Easter follows the Julian calendar and usually falls later; it is not in the list.
How is the countdown worked out?
The tool takes this year's Easter if it is still ahead or is today, otherwise next year's, and counts the whole calendar days from today in your time zone. Easter is always a Sunday, so the Working days row, which counts the Mondays to Fridays after today up to and including the date, ends at Good Friday.

Days are counted on the civil calendar from today in your time zone, and holidays are computed from their rules (Thanksgiving is the fourth Thursday of November, Easter from the Gregorian formula), so the countdown is right in every year. Hours and seconds tick from your device's clock.
