Photo Grid Maker
Put photographs into an even grid and download it as one picture. This page opens on the Grid layout in a square, and the grid follows the number of pictures you drop in: four make a 2x2 grid, nine a 3x3 grid and twelve a 4x3 grid. Each picture is cropped to fill its cell rather than stretched. Pick another shape for a portrait post, a print or a wallpaper, and drag a picture onto another to change the order. Nothing is uploaded: the pictures are decoded and drawn in this browser tab.

Lossless, so every pixel is kept as drawn, and the format that can keep a clear background. The download size follows the largest picture you dropped in, so a collage of phone photographs saves far bigger than it looks on this screen.
Common questions
- How many rows and columns will my grid have?
- The columns are the square root of the number of pictures, rounded up, and the rows are however many that takes: 4 pictures make 2x2, 6 make 3 across and 2 down, 9 make 3x3, and 12 make 4 across and 3 down. When the count does not divide evenly, the rows with fewer pictures have wider cells that reach the edge, so 5 pictures are 3 above 2 and 7 are 3 above 2 and 2, with no empty cell.
- Can I make a 3x3 grid?
- Yes. Drop in nine pictures with the Grid layout and they fill three rows of three. The first picture is top left and the order runs along each row, so drag pictures onto one another to arrange them before you download.
- Are the cells all the same size?
- In a full grid, yes. The rows share the height equally and each row shares the width equally, so any row with fewer pictures has wider cells. Pick a gap of none for pictures edge to edge, or 8, 16 or 32 pixels of background between them.
- Can a grid be bigger than 4x3?
- Not here: a collage holds up to twelve pictures, which is 4x3. Past that the cells get small enough that a photograph cropped into one shows little.
The file you download is the canvas at the pixel size printed under it, at full resolution rather than the size shown on screen, and photographs are rotated to match their own orientation tag so a phone picture is not saved sideways. Your pictures are decoded in this tab and never uploaded, and a small source picture cannot be made any sharper than it already is.
