Rounded Corners Cropper

Round the corners of a picture or a smaller rectangular selection. Set Radius in source pixels, choose PNG to keep the cut corners transparent, and download the result. Use all includes the full picture when the ratio is Free; enter exact coordinates and dimensions if you want a smaller crop.

Square corners rounded off by the radius you set, transparent in PNG. Drag a box over the picture, or drag its corners. Arrow keys move the selection and shift with an arrow resizes it, a step at a time. The numbers below are the picture's own pixels, which is what the file is cut from, so a preview shown smaller than the picture still downloads the selection at full size.

The crop is exact and the original is never altered. The box you drag is mapped back to the picture's own pixels, so the file you download is the selection at full resolution and not a scaled copy of the preview. The original is never changed. A circle or rounded crop keeps real transparency in PNG; JPEG has none, so it is filled with the background colour you pick. The picture is opened and written inside this tab, and the only thing kept between visits is the shape, ratio and format you last used.

Common questions

How do I add rounded corners without cropping away the rest of the image?
Choose the picture, set Ratio to Free and press Use all. The selection now covers the full image. Set Radius and save as PNG to keep the corners transparent. A locked aspect ratio can remove part of the picture, so use Free when keeping the whole image matters.
What does the corner radius measure?
It is measured in source pixels, not in the smaller preview. A radius of 24 rounds each corner by 24 pixels. The effective radius cannot exceed half the shorter side, and zero gives a plain rectangle. Rounded corners do not create an oval.
Why do the corners have a white background in my download?
Check the output format. JPEG fills transparent areas with the chosen Background colour, which starts at white. Choose PNG for transparent corners. The app where you place the PNG must also support transparency.
Does this add CSS border-radius or editable vector corners?
No. This page saves a PNG or JPEG with the corner mask already applied to its pixels. It does not write CSS, edit a PowerPoint or Google Slides object, or export an SVG clipping path.
