10 Times Table
The trick for the 10 times table is to write the number and add a zero: 10 × 7 = 70, because multiplying by ten moves every digit one place to the left. - What is the trick for the 10 times table?
- To multiply by 10, write the number and add a zero: 10 × 7 = 70. Take 10 × 9: 9 with a 0 on the end, 90.

- 10 × 12 = 120. Write 12 and put a 0 on the end. The same rule works for any whole number: 10 × 45 = 450 and 10 × 300 = 3000. For a decimal, move the point one place right instead: 10 × 2.5 = 25.
