6 Times Table

The trick for the 6 times table is to skip-count in sixes and know that every answer is even, and 6 times an even number ends in that number: 6 × 4 = 24. 6 × 7 = 42. Count on from 6 × 6 = 36: 36 + 6 = 42. Or take 5 × 7 = 35 and add one more 7. Or double 3 × 7 = 21.
What pattern do the answers in the 6 times table follow?
Every answer is even, the digits of every answer add up to a multiple of 3 (42 gives 4 + 2 = 6), and for an even number the answer ends in that number's last digit: 6 × 2 = 12, 6 × 4 = 24, 6 × 6 = 36, 6 × 8 = 48, 6 × 12 = 72.
