Random MLB Team Generator
The league picker opens on MLB baseball teams. Press Pick team to choose one of 30 team names with equal probability. Use it for a casual team draw; it does not generate players, lineups or historical rosters. The name-list draw is separate from the name splitter.

Nothing to split yet.
Names are separated by line breaks and by commas, so a column pasted from a spreadsheet and a comma list both work. Shuffle again draws a fresh split, and so does changing the names or the number of teams. Renaming the teams leaves everyone where they are.
Pick a league team
Choose one team from a fixed NBA, NFL, MLB or NHL name list. Each team has the same chance; repeats are possible.
30 MLB teams
Team names checked on October 5, 2026. No player rosters, historical teams or league affiliation.
Common questions
- Which MLB teams can be picked?
- The fixed list contains 30 MLB team names checked on October 5, 2026, including Arizona Diamondbacks, Miami Marlins and Washington Nationals. It does not update automatically.
- Can the same team appear twice?
- Yes. Each press makes an independent draw with equal probability for every team. A repeat is a valid result.
- Does the draw change my saved groups?
- No. Picking a league team does not change the names or settings in the group splitter.
Every arrangement is equally likely: the shuffle is Fisher–Yates on cryptographic random numbers. When names do not divide evenly the earlier teams take the extra person, and the header says which.
