Unlimited Seven-Letter Word Puzzles
This page opens on Unlimited. Press Play an unlimited puzzle and a fresh set of seven letters is dealt with its number, from 1 to 999,999, and New puzzle deals another whenever you want one, with no daily limit and no account. Type a number and choose Play number to deal that exact puzzle again, or send it to a friend so you both play the same letters and compare scores. Every generated puzzle holds at least one pangram, leaves S out so plurals cannot pad the list, and aims for between 20 and 60 words, each checked against ENABLE, a public domain list of 172,823 words. The daily puzzle is one button away, and your last 40 puzzles stay in this browser.
Seven letters, one in the middle
Make words of four letters or more from the seven. Every word uses the centre letter, and letters can repeat.

New puzzle deals a fresh set of letters and shows its number. Type a number to play that puzzle again or pass it to someone else: the same number always deals the same letters.
Common questions
- How many puzzles can I play?
- As many as you like. There are 999,999 numbered puzzles, and New puzzle picks a number at random each time, so the same letters rarely come round twice unless you ask for that number. A number you have played opens where you left it while it is among your last 40 puzzles in this browser.
- Is the same number the same puzzle for everyone?
- Yes. The number is the seed the letters are dealt from, so anyone who types 48213 gets Y in the centre, C D I L T U around it and the same answer list. If the page ever loads a different version of the word list, it says so under the board, because a numbered puzzle could then differ from someone else's.
- How are unlimited puzzles scored?
- The same way as the daily puzzle, by the points set out in the How it plays note on this page. Show hints counts the words left by first letter and length without showing one, and Reveal answers ends the puzzle and lists the words you missed.
- Is this the New York Times Spelling Bee?
- No. It plays by the same kind of rules, seven letters with one required in the centre, but every puzzle is generated on this page from the ENABLE word list and none is copied from a newspaper. It has no affiliation with any official Spelling Bee, and ENABLE accepts some words an edited answer list would leave out.
Every word is checked against ENABLE, a public domain list of 172,823 words: an accepted word always contains the centre letter and uses only the seven letters, but a real word ENABLE lacks is refused, and being on the list does not make a word a familiar one. Puzzles are generated here from that list, not copied from any newspaper, and this game has no affiliation with any official Spelling Bee.
