Drop is the extra cloth beyond each table edge. Enter the finished drop you want; the calculator adds it on both sides. Changing input units reinterprets all entered values; changing result units converts them. Dimensions accept positive values up to 1,000,000, with six decimal places; drop can be zero.

Common questions
- How do I measure a round table?
- Measure straight across the center from one edge to the opposite edge. Enter that diameter, not the radius or circumference. The round mode uses one measurement and assumes the cloth is centered.
- What is the round tablecloth formula?
- Finished cloth diameter = table diameter + twice the drop per side. A 60 inch table with a 12 inch drop gives 60 + 24 = 84 inches. Zero drop gives a cloth diameter equal to the table diameter.
- What drop should I choose?
- Enter the finished overhang you want beyond each edge, based on your own measurements and intended appearance. The comparison values are editable arithmetic examples, not standard sizes or recommended drops. This tool does not infer table height or corner hanging.
- Are seams, hems or shrinkage included?
- No. Results are finished cloth dimensions before any separate allowance for sewing, hems or shrinkage. These depend on fabric and construction details that are not supplied to the calculator.
- Can I convert units and compare drops?
- Yes. Input units apply to every entered dimension and comparison drop; changing them reinterprets those numbers. Result units convert the output to inches, centimetres or millimetres. Compare up to 20 drops and select a row to update the preview. Converted labels round to six decimal places; extremely small positive values may display as zero.
- Can I save the results?
