Remove Zalgo Text
Paste cursed or glitch text and copy the cleaned result from the right pane. This preset opens Remove marks, so no new marks are generated and the source stays untouched. Removal strips existing decomposed accents and other combining marks, including Indic vowel marks, as well as Zalgo decoration; it cannot reconstruct lost spelling.

Common questions
- Will the original text be restored exactly?
- Only if the original carried no combining marks that removal strips. An e followed by a separate accent becomes e; a precomposed é remains é. Variation selectors and keycap marks stay, but other combining marks are removed regardless of which generator or language added them.
- Can I remove marks while Up, Middle and Down are switched off?
- Yes. Those switches control generation only. Remove marks operates directly on the pasted source.
- Does it decode fancy fonts or animated glitch text?
- No. It removes Unicode combining marks. It does not reverse mathematical-letter substitutions, infer missing letters, recognize text in an image or decode a game’s animated formatting.
Marks are added per character, so emoji and accented letters stay whole. Un-zalgo removes combining marks to produce plain text, keeping only the variation selectors and keycap marks that emoji are spelled with, so a combining mark the text already carried, like a decomposed accent, goes with them. How wild it looks depends on the font and the platform; some strip the marks entirely.
