Movie End Time Calculator
Calculate a movie's finishing clock time from the runtime and start time you supply. This page starts with a 7 PM showing, a two-hour runtime and a separate twenty-minute trailer example; replace them with your own values. That example ends at 9:20 PM. Enter each additional known delay or interval on its own line and remove the trailer line when it does not apply. Choose AM / PM or 24 hour for the finishing clock. The result marks the next day when it crosses midnight.

One duration per line. Write 1:45 or 1:45:00, 1h 30m 20s, 90 for ninety minutes, or 2.5h. A leading minus takes the line off the total, and anything after two spaces or a # is a note that is kept but not counted.
Common questions
- How do I calculate what time a movie will end?
- Add the actual runtime to its start time, plus any known extra duration. For a 7 PM start, 2h runtime and 20m of trailers, the finishing clock is 9:20 PM. This page opens those editable example inputs; the result is an example until you replace them. Enter 1h 47m for a runtime of one hour and 47 minutes.
- Are trailers automatically included?
- The initial twenty-minute trailer line is an editable example, not a prediction. Replace it with a known duration or delete it. You can also add an intermission as another duration line. The calculator has no cinema-specific trailer data or showtime feed.
- What happens if the film ends after midnight?
- A 10:30 PM start with a 2h 20m runtime ends at 12:50 AM, labelled next day. Clock display can switch to 00:50 in 24-hour mode. It counts day crossings in clock arithmetic without knowing an actual calendar date or daylight-saving transition.
- Can I enter a movie title or calculate film footage and frames?
- Enter the supplied runtime rather than a title. There is no film database, title lookup, release schedule, footage-to-runtime conversion or frame-rate arithmetic. A broad movie-time search can request those different tasks; this page serves start-time-plus-runtime calculations.
- How do I include or remove an extra duration?
- Put each duration on its own line; a leading minus subtracts it. A comment follows two spaces or a #, such as 20m trailers. Clear removes the whole list. Copy the calculation or finishing clock to reuse it; you can select the displayed result manually if clipboard access is refused.
Every line is parsed to whole seconds and the total is exact; decimal hours are rounded to two places. Adding to a start time wraps past midnight and says so.
