Binmoro Privacy Policy

Summary
Binmoro: Inventory Tracker (“Binmoro”) is an iPhone app operated by Harsh Patel. It has no accounts and does not ask for your name or email. Your stockroom (items, counts, locations, suppliers and the history of changes) is stored on your device. It leaves your device only if you subscribe (which turns on private iCloud sync), share your stockroom with people you invite, or export or share a file yourself. We do not operate a server that stores your inventory, and we do not sell data, show ads or track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
What stays on your device
- Your stockroom: its name, what you keep track of, and your locations.
- Your items: name, barcodes, SKU, unit, cost, warning and full levels, supplier, notes and optional photo.
- Every change to a quantity, with its reason, amount, time, method and optional note.
- Your weekly counts and order lists.
- Settings: reminder choices, your last known subscription status, and a record of the one-time welcome offer window. The offer record is kept in the iOS Keychain on this device so it survives reinstalling the app.
Records are kept in protected files in the app’s storage on your device.
iCloud sync and team sharing
- Sync for subscribers. When you subscribe, Binmoro uses Apple CloudKit to keep a copy of your stockroom in your private iCloud database under your Apple Account, so it is backed up and available on your other devices. We cannot access your private iCloud data.
- Team sharing. If you invite people to your stockroom, Apple’s iCloud sharing makes it available to the people you invite.
- Each change they make is saved with the name from their Apple Account, so your team can see who changed what.
- You choose who is invited and can remove people or stop sharing at any time in the app.
- People you invite need their own Apple Account; they do not need their own subscription.
- Deleting copies. Turning sync off does not delete the copy in iCloud. Remove it in Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Manage Storage.
Camera, photos and notifications
- The camera reads barcodes on your device. Scanning does not keep or upload images.
- If you add a photo to an item, you choose it from your camera or photo library, and it is stored with the item.
- Weekly count reminders are scheduled locally through Apple’s notification system; there is no push server. A reminder can show your stockroom name and how many items are running low, but never item names or costs.
- Change camera, photo and notification access anytime in iOS Settings.
What Binmoro does not access
Binmoro does not use your location, contacts, health data or bank accounts, and does not connect to point-of-sale, e-commerce or accounting services.
Data we collect
Binmoro has no accounts, and nothing it collects includes your name, email, phone number or Apple Account. The data below is pseudonymous, but it is linked in Apple’s sense: it is tied to random identifiers for your install, and those identifiers are joined to each other. It is not used for tracking: Binmoro has no ads, does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA), does not ask to track you, and does not share data with data brokers or advertisers.
- Product interaction: which steps you complete in the app, from a fixed list of events, with counts and yes-or-no flags. Sent to PostHog. Purpose: analytics.
- Purchase history: your subscription status, trials, renewals and cancellations, from Apple’s signed purchase records via RevenueCat. Purposes: app functionality, analytics.
- User ID: a random app user ID created by RevenueCat and a random analytics ID created by PostHog, joined so subscription events appear in the product funnel. Neither is your name, email or Apple Account. Purposes: app functionality, analytics.
- Device ID: the identifier for vendor (IDFV) that the RevenueCat SDK sends with its requests. It is not the advertising identifier. Purposes: app functionality, analytics.
- Advertising data: Apple’s AdServices attribution token, sent to RevenueCat. RevenueCat uses it to ask Apple whether the install came from an Apple Search Ads campaign and, if so, which campaign, ad group and keyword. Purpose: analytics.
- Crash data: crash reports from Apple’s MetricKit (crash kind, exception type and code, signal and app build), sent as PostHog events. Purposes: app functionality, analytics.
- Performance data: hang reports from MetricKit (how long the app was unresponsive and the app build), sent as PostHog events. Purposes: app functionality, analytics.
- Coarse location: PostHog estimates your country and city from the IP address of each analytics request. Binmoro never asks for your location. Purpose: analytics.
What analytics contain. Analytics come from a fixed list of events and properties; anything else is dropped before sending. They include the app version, whether a subscription is active, how many items you have, how a change was made (scanned or typed) and its reason. Screen recording, session replay and automatic tap capture are off. Analytics never include item names, barcodes, notes, costs, supplier names, photos or exported files.
Payments. Payments go through Apple In-App Purchase; we never receive your payment card details. RevenueCat checks your subscription for us; its privacy policy is at revenuecat.com/privacy. PostHog’s is at posthog.com/privacy.
Exports and sharing
CSV exports, PDF count sheets, label sheets and order lists are created on your device. When you share one, iOS sends it to the destination you choose, such as Files, Mail or Messages. Binmoro does not record who you share with.
Retention and deletion
- Your stockroom stays on your device until you delete items or delete the app. Archiving an item hides it from lists but keeps its history.
- iCloud copies, team shares, exported files, purchase history and the Keychain offer record are separate:
- manage iCloud data and subscriptions in Apple Settings;
- stop sharing in the app;
- delete exported copies where you saved them.
- We keep analytics only as long as it is useful for improving the app. Email us to ask for deletion of analytics data. Because it is not tied to your name, tell us roughly when you installed Binmoro and your device model so we can find it.
Children
Binmoro is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If our data practices change, we will update this page and the date above, and update the app’s App Store privacy details.
