What does Ignition Pro add?
Unlimited cars, the manufacturer’s maintenance schedule, automatic recall checks, Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, iCloud sync, unlimited receipt smart fills, a service history PDF and cost breakdowns by category and per mile.
Does Ignition need an account?
No. There is no sign-in. Your records live on your iPhone, and with Pro they also sync through your own private iCloud database.
Are scans read on my phone?
Yes. Receipt, odometer and document text is read on your iPhone with Apple’s Vision and VisionKit frameworks. Photos stay with your records on the device, or in your private iCloud with Pro.
How do recall checks work?
Ignition asks the U.S. NHTSA recall service about your car’s make, model and year. Pro checks again every few days when iOS allows background refresh, and notifies you when a check finds a new recall. Always confirm a recall with your dealer.
What happens if Pro ends?
Everything you logged stays on your iPhone and stays yours. Your first car keeps working on the free plan. Extra cars are parked: their history stays readable, while logging and reminders for them return with Pro.
