Roadside assistance, for the app
Ignition support
Ignition is a car maintenance log for iPhone, with a care plan, reminders by date or mileage, receipt scanning, fuel economy, a document glovebox and NHTSA recall checks.
Contact the developer
For help, feature requests, privacy questions or legal notices, email Harsh Patel at harshp.build@gmail.com.
Include your iPhone model, iOS version, Ignition version (shown in Ignition’s Settings) and what happened. Please leave out your VIN, policy numbers and photos of documents.
Restore purchases
Sign in to the App Store with the Apple Account that bought Ignition Pro, then open Ignition’s Settings and tap Restore purchases. Make sure your iPhone is online. If Pro does not return, email the developer with what the app showed.
Manage or cancel a subscription
Ignition Pro is billed by Apple. Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, and choose Ignition. You can also open Apple’s subscription page. Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period or free trial ends to avoid the next charge. Pro stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
If Pro ends, your records stay on your iPhone. Your first car keeps working on the free plan; other cars are parked with their history kept until Pro returns.
Request a refund
Apple handles refunds. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with the Apple Account used for the purchase and follow Apple’s steps.
iCloud sync and a new iPhone
iCloud sync is part of Ignition Pro. It keeps your cars, records and photos in your private iCloud so they arrive on your next iPhone. If records are missing, check that you are signed in to iCloud with the same Apple Account, that iCloud Drive is on and has free storage, and that Pro is active. Then open Ignition on Wi-Fi and give it a few minutes. On the free plan, your records travel in your iPhone’s own backup.
Reminders not arriving
Allow notifications for Ignition in iOS Settings, and check that Focus modes are not silencing them. Mileage reminders depend on your odometer readings, so answer the weekly check-in or update the odometer when you can.
Scanning tips
Scans are read on your iPhone. Use good light, hold the receipt flat and fill the frame. Check the filled-in date, odometer and total before you save. If a VIN will not scan, type it from your registration or the driver-side door jamb.
Recalls
Recall results come from NHTSA for your car’s make, model and year and may include recalls that do not apply to your exact vehicle. Confirm with your dealer or at nhtsa.gov/recalls using your VIN. Recall repairs are typically done free at the dealer.
Delete your data
In the Garage, touch and hold a car and choose Remove car to delete it and all of its records. Delete a glovebox document from its detail screen. Deleting the app removes everything stored on your iPhone. If you used Pro sync, remove Ignition’s iCloud data in Settings, then your name, iCloud, Manage Storage. To delete analytics data, email the developer with roughly when you installed Ignition and your device model.
